WME-100 Communication Driver

 

WME-100 is driver to communicate with controller WME-100 model of WETEK Co.,Ltd. in Korea.

 

1. Read settings

 

<Figure 1> is read setting example of WME-100 communication driver.

Device Setting of <Figure 1> are input, Com Port(COM1), Com Baud(9600), Parity Bit(0), Data Bit(8), Stop Bit(1).

Also, you can set transmission period for demand command of reading card(0~100 Sec, Default = 5, 0 = Not used) as number, by using the option part.

 

WME-100 driver read schedule

Read schedule setting parameters are as follows :

1) Station : Don't care. (Set as 0, 1 etc)

2) Read Command : Don't care. (Set as READ)

3) Read Start Address : Don't care.

4) Save Start Address for Communication Server : Saving start address of Communication Server.

5) Read Size : Fixed to 1. (Fix the read status and read value as 2, Refer to <Table 1>)

<Table 1> is card value contents and order of save to communication memory.

Data save address + 0 Status value

0 = Read Error,

1 = Normal Read

Data save address + 1 Read contents

WORD, DWORD, FLOAT memory : Save the read value by changing as number,

STRING memory : Save string of the read value, as it is

If you click the icon in protocol option part, you can see the dialogue box such as <Figure 2>. you can also set read schedule by using this part.

You can set transmission period for demand command of reading card(0~100 Sec, Default = 5, 0 = Not used) as number, at 'Read Command Period' area of <Figure 2>.

You can set read schedule by using , , button and listbox of <Figure 2>.

When you click Add button or Edit button in dialog box of <Figure 2>, dialog box of <Figure 3> is shown.

 

2. Write settings

You can write designated value to card by using writing setting.

 

Digital Write

Digital write and analog write have the same setting parameters except output value(0 or 1). 

 

Analog Write

Analog write setting parameters are as follows :

1) Port : Connected Port no. (It is not COM number)

2) Station : Don't care.

3) Address : Set the command type.

             1 : Transmit read demand command,

             2 : Transmit command for initialization and deletion of content,

             3 : Set the LED On/Off status, (Decide LED On/Off according to the output value 0 ~ 15)

             4 : Adjust Buzzer, (Set Buzzer value according to output value 0 ~ 15)

             99 : Writing character and number to card by reading data at first line of 'ProjectFolder\SCAN\comm%03d.ini'.

             0, Etc : Writing character and number which are written at Extra 1, to card.

4) Extra1 : Input character and number etc to write to card when address is 0. (Usable character :  0 ~ 9, A ~ Z, = )

5) Extra2 : Memory address to save the read/write value,(WORD/DWORD/FLOAT memory), 0 = Error, 1 = Normal read/write is complete.

 

Write example 1)

PORT : 0   STATION : 0   ADDRESS : 0000  EXTRA1 : 1234  EXTRA2 : Blank

If you set as above and output the analog value, you can write value as 1234 to card of WME-100 which is connected to no.0 port. But, you have to insert the card to WME-100 equipment, before write time out.

 

Write example 2)

PORT : 0   STATION : 0   ADDRESS : 0000  EXTRA1 : 67890  EXTRA2 : Blank

If you set as above and output the analog value, you can write value as 67890 to card of WME-100 which is connected to no.0 port. But, you have to insert the card to WME-100 equipment, before write timeout.

 

Write example 3)

PORT : 0   STATION : 0   ADDRESS : 0002  EXTRA1 : Blank  EXTRA2 : Blank

If you set as above and output the analog value, you can initialize(delete contents) WME-100 which is connected to no.0 port.

 

Write example 4)

PORT : 0   STATION : 0   ADDRESS : 0004  EXTRA1 : Blank  EXTRA2 : Blank

If you set as above and output the analog value, you can sound Buzzer of WME-100 which is connected to no.0 port. But type of Buzzer value is dependent on output value(0~15).

 

Write example 4)

PORT : 0   STATION : 0   ADDRESS : 0099  EXTRA1 : Blank  EXTRA2 : Blank

If you set as above and output the analog value, you can write the entered number or character to first line of 'ProjectFolder\SCAN\comm000.ini' of WME-100 card which is connected to no.0 port. But, you have to insert the card to WME-100 equipmet, before write timeout.

 

3. Communication cable and power connection

Connect communication cable and power connection to WME-100, as follows.

 

RS-232C communication cable connection

Connect RS-232C communication cable to RS-232C terminal of WME-100 equipment.

Basic power connection

Connect basic power through power input section of WME-100 or communication cable.
